Bloomin' Bouquet Project kit

Mother's Day. Teacher appreciation. Just because. Say thank you with this no-maintenance bouquet. There's no watering, no weeding-just enjoying. This easy-to-assemble kit comes complete with the petals, stems, and buttons to create the flowers, as well as four different tags to make this the perfect gift for any occasion. All you need is some paper, ribbon or a vase to add the finishing touches to the bouquet.

As if that weren't enough, the kit contains a "baker's dozen"! This means you can create and give (or keep) a dozen flowers, and have a bonus flower left over to pass along to someone new! Give it to someone you wouldn't normally think of: a teller at the bank, a grocery store clerk, or the librarian at your local library. Anyone you encounter on your way that you'd like to give a little "thank you" to-and introduce them to Stampin' Up!

Freshly Made Sketches #83

Today’s card is for Freshly Made Sketches #83, a sketch designed by Alissa.
I went with a kind of monochromatic look to go with the simplicity of the design.

The card base is Wisteria Wonder. I added a strip of Wisteria Wonder DSP from the 2011-2013 Designer Series paper stack. I embossed a piece of Elegant Eggplant cardstock, using the Argyle embossing folder and the Big Shot. I stamped the flower stem with Old Olive, the more solid part of the flower with Wisteria Wonder and the outline portions of the flower and sentiment with Elegant Eggplant.

Pinwheel wishes

Here is a really fun, but simple card from my recent technique class. Start with a Whisper White base card. Emboss the frame using the designer frames folder and the Big Shot. Layer the embossed frame onto a slightly larger piece of colored cardstock. Cut a pinwheel out of designer series paper with the Sizzlet S die and the big shot. Fold into pinwheel shape and secure with 3/16" brad and adhere to a stick (a toothpick will work). Adhere both to the frame. Stamp sentiment on card. See, super easy and super cute.
