Freshly Made Sketches #142- A sketch by Jennifer B

I'm not really much of a purple girl, but I am completely loving Stampin' Up's new in color, Blackberry Bliss! It's a rich color, but fun at the same time. I used it for this week's Freshly Made Sketches  challenge.

Freshly Made Sketches #140- A sketch by Linda C.

I was very excited to get my Stampin' Up! order this week with all new product from the 2014-2015 annual catalog. I was really excited to use the new Flower Patch bundle, and thought I it would work well for this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I was so excited that I even did the challenge right away, instead of waiting for the last minute on Sunday!

Here is my take on the sketch:

At first, I thought I'd stamp the flowers and then use the framelits to cut them out, but I went with just using the framelits to cut the flowers and only stamping the center of the flower. I think it would've ended up too busy with a stamped flower too. I also used the Work of Art set again.  The possibilities are endless with that set.

I predict this will be a very popular set!

Freshly Made Sketches #138- A sketch by Jen T.

I wanted to get a head start on getting a Father's day card done for my dad. I used the sketch from this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge. Today is also the last day to order the stamp I used- Look up to Father. I have always looked up to my dad and not just because he's 6' 2". My dad is a social worker and just recently retired from St. Louis County after a little over 30 years working mainly in child protection. He was a supervisor over several areas of family services when he retired. He inspired me to become a social worker, although I went the opposite route and work with the elderly. He's the best person I know, and I am extremely lucky that I got to be his daughter.

Anyway, this stamp fit perfectly for me.
